Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

The Critical Care Division is seeking to engage a highly reliable administration professional in the role of Division Secretary. The position is required to provide, develop, and maintain high level executive secretarial and receptionist support to the Nepean Emergency Department Management Team and Staff Specialists. The successful incumbent will utilise their extensive working knowledge of office systems and procedures and demonstrate high standard of typing ability in order to to meet tight deadlines.

Key administrative duties include supporting the maintenance of medical staff rosters, medical recruitment, and a broad range of clerical duties to assist clinicians. What You Will Bring To The Role

* Demonstrated capacity to provide effective and professional administrative support, in confidence and with discretion. Highly developed administrative/organisational skills in a demanding environment with competing and changing priorities.
* Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with management and staff at all levels
* Experience in responding to a range of enquiries and determining the appropriate response in a complex work environment
* Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer applications including Content Manager, Outlook, MS Office Suite, rostering and procurement systems
* Strong organisational skills with demonstrated ability to plan, organise, set priorities and meet deadlines
* Adaptable to change with high attention to detail
* Demonstrated high level written skills applied to producing a range of complex business correspondence and reports. briefings, minutes and agendas, spreadsheets and databases
* Demonstrated ability to achieve results at the individual level and as a member of a dynamic team
