Are you an experienced Fleet Manager or Fleet Administrator looking for a short-term contract with the potential to transition into a permanent role?

About the role


We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fleet Manager/ Fleet Administrator to join one of Australia's largest domestic insurers in their Toowong office to step in and keep their corporate fleet running smoothly during a period of transition.
This is a highly administrative, hands-on fleet coordination role supporting an owned-vehicle fleet managed under an operating lease arrangement. You'll be the go-to person for day-to-day fleet enquiries, compliance and administration, as well as stakeholder follow-up—ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
Key responsibilities
* Coordinate day-to-day fleet administration for 225 staff vehicles (end-to-end support)
* Liaise with SG Fleet regarding orders, deliveries, registrations, servicing, and general fleet queries
* Manage fleet compliance and documentation, ensuring records are accurate and up to date
* Handle infringements end-to-end (allocation to the correct driver, follow-up for required details, close-out)
* Administer and troubleshoot fuel cards and related queries
* Support accident/incident management, ensuring correct data is captured internally and supplied to external partners
* Provide clear updates to internal stakeholders and follow up actions to completion
* Identify process improvements to reduce admin load and improve fleet efficiency over time

What we're looking for
* Demonstrated experience in fleet coordination / fleet administration / fleet operations
* Working knowledge of how fleet leasing and vehicle lifecycle processes work (ordering, replacements, servicing, incident workflows, etc.)
* The ideal candidate would be based in the Toowong office 5 days a week
* Strong stakeholder management—comfortable dealing with senior internal contacts and able to follow through firmly when required
* High attention to detail and confidence managing high-volume admin tasks
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
