About the role:
Step into a senior clinical leadership position as a Level 3 Social Worker in our Mental Health Recovery Unit. You will be based in the Wagga Wagga Mental Health Recovery Unit which is 20 bed Sub acute mental health facility. The unit is primarily targeted at consumers aged 18-65 years however admits consumers across the age spectrum. The unit is committed to providing recovery oriented and innovative approaches to care. The unit recognise consumers with mental health issues as experts in their own condition and strives to provide an optimistic and positive approach to care with a focus on collaborative decision making and social inclusion. Working with other service partners is central to the model of service delivery promoted by the unit.
Key responsibilities:
* You will be responsible and accountable to the Nurse Unit Manager/Recovery Unit Manager and work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary team.
* Deliver high quality social work services to consumers of the Mental Health Recovery Unit in accordance with the ethics and standards established by the Australian Association of Social Workers, the NSW Ministry of Health and other relevant bodies.
* Provide professional social work services to inpatients of the Mental Health Recovery Unit and their families/carers.
* Participate in quality activities conducted within the clinical setting.
* Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise client outcomes, facilitate safe discharge planning, and ensure care is delivered within professional and ethical standards
* Provide supervision, mentorship and professional development support to Level 1/2 therapists, allied health assistants and students on placement
* Your contribution as a healthcare professional will have a meaningful and positive impact, which is felt at a community level.

Remuneration: $116,892.00 - $120,680.00 per annum (+ super +17.5% leave loading where applicable)
