They are seeking a dedicated Electrical Designer to work closely with the Electrical Design Manager on a diverse portfolio of minor and major projects across the state. Key Responsibilities
Working as a vital part of the electrical team, your daily activities will include:
* Detailed Electrical Design: Developing detailed underground and/or overhead designs in strict accordance with Victorian DNSP standards (Powercor, Ausnet, Jemena, and United Energy).
* Standards Compliance: Applying a thorough understanding of Victorian electricity distributor requirements and standards to every project.
* Interdisciplinary Coordination: Liaising with internal designers and engineers for interdisciplinary coordination and review to ensure seamless project delivery.
* Project Management: Managing your own priorities and workloads effectively to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
Qualifications and Experience
* Education: A degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related technical field.
* Software Skills: Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and proficiency in the specific drafting standards used by Victorian electricity distributors (Powercor, Ausnet, Jemena, and United Energy).
* Technical Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of Australian codes and standards, electrical equipment, electrical circuitry, and general design practices.
* Industry Context: Proven experience dealing with or working within the Victorian electricitydistribution networks.
* Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams.
* Autonomy: The ability to work independently when required while remaining a proactive team contributor.
