Signwriter Job Description
As a skilled Signwriter, you will be responsible for creating high-quality signs and graphics for various clients. Your expertise will be utilized to design and produce signs using computer software and signmaking machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Measure and calculate letter sizes, prepare surfaces, apply background paint, and fashion letters using brushes, stencils, enamel paint, and decals.
* Develop wall murals, screen prints, gold leaf work, and custom vehicle art.
* Apply lacquers, varnishes, paints, and materials for sign and lettering painting.
* Paint signs on various surfaces such as brick, metal, wood, glass, plastic, and others.
* Construct and install three-dimensional signs.
* Create cost estimates for labor and materials.
* Work at heights when necessary, and possibly install signs at on-site locations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Signwriter.
* Certificate III in Signs and Graphics or other relevant qualification.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
Benefits:
This is a full-time position with a salary range of $70,000-$85,000 per annum commensurate with experience.
