About the role
Cascades Stone Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Stonemason to join our team in Burleigh Heads, Queensland. This is a full-time position that will involve the fabrication and installation of high-quality stone products for residential and commercial projects.
What you'll be doing
* Fabricating and installing natural stone products such as benchtops, vanities, fireplaces and other architectural features
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings to ensure accurate cutting, shaping and finishing of stone materials
* Performing precise measurements and templating to guarantee a perfect fit for each installation
* Liaising with clients, designers and construction teams to coordinate project timelines and requirements
* Maintaining a safe and organised work environment, following all health and safety protocols
* Providing guidance and training to junior stonemasons as required
What we're looking for
* Formal qualifications in stonemasonry or a related trade
* Minimum 3 years' experience working as a stonemason, preferably in a similar fabrication and installation role
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills to achieve high-quality finishes
* Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
* Strong communication and customer service skills to liaise effectively with clients and project teams
* A team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment
* A commitment to workplace health and safety
