Senior Security Systems Engineer
* 12-month contract with 24-month extension option
* Key role in national cyber security uplift program
* Onsite work in ACT, VIC, or NSW
* Rates negotiable dependent on experience
* NV1 or NV2 essential
About the Role
You will act as a subject matter expert, advising and implementing security controls across multiple government entities. Reporting at senior levels, you will design, remediate, and maintain secure systems while collaborating with stakeholders on strategic cyber uplift initiatives.
Responsibilities
* Deliver advice and implement security controls across agencies
* Draft SOPs, design docs, and technical reports
* Facilitate workshops on security design and remediation
* Prototype and test security configurations for guidance
* Apply ISM, Essential Eight, and industry standards
Qualifications
* NV1 Security Clearance (OSA assessment required)
Required Skills
* Strong background in systems engineering across enterprise tech
* Expertise in AD, networking, Linux/Unix, cloud, or Splunk/Sentinel
* Proven ability to lead, direct, and align tasks to strategy
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
