The Team :
The Wound Management team, consisting of Nurse Practitioners and Clinical Nurse Consultants, is based in Hobart at 25 Argyle Street. They provide wound consultation services for Royal Hobart Hospital inpatients, support outpatient wound clinics, and community-based clinics.
The Role :
The Clinical Nurse Consultant - Wound Management works collaboratively with nursing, medical, and allied health clinicians to :
Provide clinical leadership and direction for the management of patients with wound and skin integrity needs throughout the Royal Hobart Hospital and community services within the Southern region of Tasmania.
Offer expert advice, support, and educational services both internally and to external providers as required.
You will need :
Demonstrated advanced clinical expertise in wound management, including assessment, coordination, implementation, and evaluation, with a strong understanding of relevant standards and best practices.
Ability to provide clinical leadership and work independently with minimal supervision to meet service objectives.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to support interdisciplinary team activities.

Details of appointment :
This is a fixed-term, part-time day position, working up to 46 hours per fortnight, starting as soon as possible until 31 December 2026.
Hours are negotiable with the successful applicant.
Note: The selection process may be used to fill similar vacancies for up to twelve months from the date of publication.
Salary : $114,851 to $121,886 per annum (Pro-rata). An additional 12% superannuation contribution is provided.
Salary range aligned with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
Additional allowances based on qualifications and service include :
Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10%.

Eligibility :
Applicants must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
Desirable criteria include holding or working towards a relevant postgraduate qualification and possessing a current driver's license.
