The Marketing and Events Assistant provides marketing, communication, event coordination, and administrative support to our Community Engagement & Events team. The position supports the team in promoting the school, strengthening connections with families, and ensuring smooth execution of key events throughout the year.
Your warm and approachable manner, along with your professionalism and discretion, will be key to your success in this role.
This is a full-time ongoing position, however, consideration will be given to applicants with the requisite knowledge and experience for a part-time role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Building rapport with young children, staff, parents, and the community through excellent interpersonal skills.
* Handling multiple tasks and priorities with high-level problem-solving skills.
* A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong IT skills, preferably with experience in TASS, SEQTA, and Google Workspace software systems.
* Maintaining outstanding personal presentation and discretion when dealing with confidential matters.
* Working effectively as a team member.
Requirements:
* Secondary: Higher School Certificate (or equivalent)
* Tertiary/TAFE or VET Tertiary qualifications in Marketing or Event Management
* Licences: Driver's Licence (Car) (not essential)
* Basic photography, videography, and graphic design skills.
* Basic audio-visual knowledge to support AV Technician for performances and events.

They will possess a strong work ethic, striving for continuous improvement and achieving high standards. Additionally, they should demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines, exercise sound judgement, and initiative in decision-making, self-manage and prioritize their workload, utilize analytical and logistical skills, and forward planning, and work collegially as part of a team.
