Dispatch Coordinator – Lawson NSW, Australia at Valen Power AU
Role Purpose
The Warehouse Coordinator is accountable for the safe, accurate, and timely receipt, storage, preparation, and dispatch of stock from the Lawson warehouse. The role ensures customer orders are fulfilled to Valen Power standards, stock integrity is maintained, quality controls are applied, and the warehouse environment supports efficient operations. The role also supports project delivery through kitting and assembly assistance and engages directly with customers when required to confirm delivery satisfaction and resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Orders
Accountable for the preparation and dispatch of customer orders in line with the Dispatching Orders procedure, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and on-time delivery.
Ensures trucks are safely and efficiently loaded upon arrival, coordinating timing and priorities to minimise delays.
Provides a high level of customer service to pick-up customers, representing Valen Power professionally at all times.
Engages directly with customers when required, including proactive outbound calls to confirm delivery satisfaction, resolve minor issues, and escalate concerns appropriately.
Supports the Projects team by assisting the Project Manager with kitting, assemblies, and manual handling tasks as required to meet delivery commitments.
Stock Control
Ensures containers are unloaded to the standards outlined in the Unload Containers procedure, maintaining safety, accuracy, and stock integrity.
Accurately receives and reconciles stock against local and overseas Purchase Orders, ensuring system records reflect physical stock.
Manages the recharge and rotation of old or slow-moving stock to maintain usability and minimise waste.
Leads and manages stocktake counts for the Lawson warehouse, ensuring counts are completed accurately and variances are investigated and resolved.
Quality Control
Conducts quality control testing on new overseas stock when required, ensuring products meet Valen Power standards prior to release.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date quality control documentation, supporting traceability and audit requirements.
Manages the Quarantine Area in Lawson, ensuring non-conforming stock is clearly identified, isolated, and addressed.
Warehouse
Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse environment that supports efficient operations and safe movement of people and equipment.
Ensures the warehouse driveway is tidy and free of debris, maintaining safe access for staff, customers, and freight vehicles.
Key Internal Relationships
Operations Team: Coordinates daily priorities, dispatch schedules, and warehouse capacity to ensure operational commitments are met safely and efficiently.
Sales Team: Works closely to understand customer priorities, urgent orders, and delivery commitments, ensuring expectations are met or proactively managed.
Projects Team: Supports project delivery through kitting, light assembly, and manual labour assistance, ensuring materials are ready when required.
Corporate Services: Partners to maintain a safe working environment, comply with WHS requirements, and address hazards or incidents promptly.
What Success Looks Like
Orders are dispatched accurately and on time, customers receive a consistent and professional experience, stock records align with physical inventory, quality issues are identified before dispatch, and the warehouse operates safely, cleanly, and efficiently while supporting broader operational and project outcomes.
KPIS
100% of customer orders received prior to 1:00pm dispatched on the same business day.
Quality control completed prior to dispatch of all backorders.
Stocktake variances maintained within agreed tolerance levels.
Zero preventable safety incidents within the warehouse.
What You'll Bring
Experience and Qualifications
Current Forklift Licence.
Experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment with stock control responsibilities.
Must-Have Capabilities

Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and follow procedures.

Nice-to-Have Capabilities
Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems.
Experience using barcode scanning systems for stock receipt, picking, and dispatch.
Competence using Microsoft applications, including email, for communication and basic reporting.
Exposure to quality control or inspection processes.
Experience supporting project-based work or light assembly.
