Where you'll be working
An expansion of imaging service hours at Armidale Rural Referral Hospital has created an exciting opportunity for a motivated and capable Radiographer to join our welcoming and experienced Imaging team.

As the major referral centre for the New England region of NSW, Armidale offers an exceptional lifestyle alongside meaningful rural health work. The region is renowned for its productive farmland, stunning National Parks, and strong sense of community. Armidale is home to the University of New England, excellent schooling options, and enjoys convenient access to Brisbane and Sydney by road, rail, and air. Some of NSW's most beautiful beaches are also just a two-hour drive away.

What You'll Be Doing
The Imaging Department at Armidale Rural Referral Hospital delivers a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging services to both the local community and surrounding rural areas. Radiographers are exposed to a broad and varied caseload, providing a rewarding clinical experience that includes emergency presentations, inpatient care, and complex rural and road trauma.

The department provides imaging services across general radiography, CT, and ultrasound, supporting emergency, inpatient, and a small outpatient cohort. Following the service expansion, staffed operating hours now run 7:00 am to 11:00 pm, seven days a week, with an after-hours on-call roster in place.

New team members are supported through a structured orientation program and will have opportunities to build and consolidate skills across both general imaging and CT. Ongoing professional development is strongly encouraged, with access to in-house education and supported pathways for continuing professional learning.

About You
You are a collaborative and patient-focused Radiographer who values teamwork and clear communication. The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment is essential to delivering high-quality patient outcomes.

While experience in CT is highly regarded, this recruitment is open to Radiographers at all levels, including new graduates, with support provided to develop skills and confidence in a rural clinical setting.

You will bring a positive and approachable manner, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to excellence in patient care. Post-employment regrading may be available for candidates who demonstrate appropriate skills and experience.
