The Opportunity
We're rebuilding how Monash creates and delivers content. This role sits within the Content Lab, a central team responsible for how the university shows up across channels and audiences. We're moving from fragmented, reactive output to a connected system that is clear, consistent, and built to scale.
As Content Coordinator, you'll help move ideas from concept to live at pace, working closely with the team to deliver content that is timely, relevant, and platform‐native. A key part of the role is shaping and supporting storytelling for students and prospective students, particularly in fast‐moving environments like TikTok. You'll also work across research and academic content, helping translate complex ideas into clear, engaging stories for broader audiences.
This role supports content that helps people understand, navigate, and succeed at Monash. You'll be part of a team building a new content model inside a large organisation, with the opportunity to influence how it works as it grows.
About You
* You're organised, practical, and comfortable working across multiple stakeholders.
* You're confident working at pace, spotting opportunities and helping content get live quickly, without getting stuck in process. You understand how content performs in the real world, particularly for younger audiences, and you've seen what works on platforms like TikTok.
* You're comfortable being close to the work. You can take a rough idea, help shape it, and keep it moving through to delivery.
* You're able to take complex or technical information and help turn it into something clear and accessible, without losing what matters.
* You're motivated by improving how things work and contributing to a team building a more effective content system.
Selection Criteria
* Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and get content live quickly, particularly in fast‐moving or trend‐driven environments.
* Proven experience creating or supporting content for student or youth audiences, with demonstrated experience working on TikTok content (not just personal use), with examples or portfolio evidence preferred.
* Ability to translate complex or technical information into clear, engaging content for broader audiences.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain momentum.
* Experience working across content, social, or design tools (e.g. CapCut, Canva, CMS platforms, project management tools), with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
Diversity is one of our greatest strengths at Monash. We encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, culturally and linguistically diverse people, people with disabilities, neurodivergent people and people of all genders, sexualities, and age groups.
