About The Opportunity
Lorrex Contracting, a division of the iContracting Group, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent to join our team due to new long-term projects kicking off.
Roster and Environment
* Roster: 8/6 day shift only
* Environment: mining load and haul
About You
* Extensive supervisory experience in mining or bulk earthworks
* Experience maintaining Caterpillar and Komatsu earthmoving equipment, including HD785-7 rigid dump trucks and CAT992K loaders
* Minimum 5 years in a similar role within the mining environment
* Strong safety-focused approach to work
* Excellent leadership and people management skills
* Effective communication and organisational skills
* Ability to lead, develop, and mentor crews
* HR License - desirable
* White Card - essential
* Australian Working Rights - essential
Responsibilities
* As the Maintenance Superintendent, reporting to the Project Manager and managing workshop personnel, you will:
* Mentor and manage workshop HD fitters, servicemen, and subcontractors as required
* Ensure safe maintenance practices while meeting daily KPI targets, managing both planned and unplanned events
* Conduct daily pre-start and toolbox meetings
* Identify and resolve maintenance-related issues with the project team
* Maintain high safety standards and lead by example to encourage safe work practices
* Ensure compliance with relevant codes and specifications, and implement client requirements
