Job Description

The Project Manager, Hardware is responsible for leading various Sun Nuclear development projects throughout the Product Life Cycle (PLC), including planning, design, prototyping, verification, validation, and manufacturing transfer.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

1. Manage and direct day-to-day operations of 1-3 development projects, including:
* Facilitating product requirements development with product managers, physicists, and marketing
* Creating, monitoring, and managing project plans, risks, mitigations, and resources
* Supporting product managers with project accounting (ROI, profitability, margins, costs)
* Leading design reviews, status reviews, and cross-functional project reviews
* Managing prototyping, sampling, pilot production, assembly, and testing schedules
* Ensuring proper verification and validation activities with appropriate resources
* Maintaining design documentation and tracking, including requirements, reviews, risk analysis, FMEA, verification and validation plans and reports, and design history
* Supporting manufacturing transfer and product launch activities

Managerial and Leadership Responsibilities:

* Monitoring and enforcing team accountabilities
* Encouraging creative and innovative thinking while respecting individual contributions

Support for Corporate and R&D Initiatives:

* Promoting project management best practices and enhancing employee skills
* Participating in efforts to improve PLC management tools and methods

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

* Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or relevant discipline
* At least 5 years' experience in product development, including hardware design, testing, and verification
* Over 3 years of successful project management experience
* Experience organizing and transferring small to medium-sized development projects to manufacturing
* Familiarity with the Phase Gate Design Process
* Experience and formal training in Scrum or Scrum Master certification
* Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
* Ability to work well in teams and across functions
* Ability to take initiative and meet deadlines under pressure
