Overview
This newly created specialist appointment is reflective of ongoing commitment to raising the bar of what "great" looks like. This role is based in a major regional manufacturing hub and is a bit unique to a traditional Quality Manager role. You will be supported by a peer level technical leader with a team that focuses on the compliance and QC process, freeing you up to play a key hand in the development of operational quality and product integrity. You will report to a GM Level peer with a mandate to coach, influence and embed best-practice quality behaviours across the sizeable operational footprint, working closely with the production team to proactively address issues and strengthen processes to improve customer quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Develop operational quality and ensure product integrity in partnership with a peer technical leader and the compliance/QC team.
* Collaborate with production to proactively address issues and strengthen processes that move the needle on customer quality outcomes.
* Coach and embed best-practice quality behaviours across the operational footprint.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline such as Food Science.
* FMCG exposure is essential for this role.
* Strong understanding of retailer standards, as well as governing programs such as HACCP, GMP and labeling/regulatory requirements.
* Demonstrated consulting and coaching approach when handling FSQ outcomes and the ability to work cross-functionally.
