ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and engineer electrical systems for solar PV solutions, including rooftop, ground-mounted, and hybrid/off-grid systemsPerform electrical load calculations and analyse energy consumption data to design systems that meet client requirementsInterpret drawings and specifications and create detailed technical documentation for project execution and procurementConduct electrical simulations and feasibility studies on existing solar installations to maximize system efficiency, performance and ROIGenerate comprehensive Work Orders for installers, including Voltage Rise calculations and Single Line Diagrams and manage installation schedulesDesign and select electrical components such as solar panels, inverters, batteries, mounting structures and electrical wiringOversee installations of battery storage systems, panels and electrical componentsCollaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely and accurate sourcing of materialsEnforce electrical safety and quality standards in accordance with AS/NZS and WHS regulationsAssist in the development of proposals and technical presentations for client meetings, focusing on the electrical engineering aspects of the solar PV systemsRequirements (core)Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering for solar projects or a related fieldAustralian work experience in a similar role is essentialDemonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects and deliver measurable resultsSkills and attributesMinimum bachelor's degree in electrical engineeringProficiency in Microsoft Office 365, AutoCAD (essential) and PVSystIn-depth knowledge of electrical and structural engineering principles as applied to solar energy systemsFamiliarity with local permitting processes and building codes related to solar installationsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issuesExceptional communication skills and the ability to thrive in a diverse team environmentDriven to deliver high-quality outcomes for clientsPrevious design and operations support experience is desirableApplication and eligibilityAustralian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.Please apply using the facilities provided on this site.
