Technical Business Analyst
based in
Brisbane,
you will align information technology systems with business operations by analysing requirements, engaging with stakeholders, and finding innovative solutions. Your duties include providing expert technical knowledge on key platforms and system integration and you will work with our business stakeholders to elicit business requirements and translate these into functional and non-functional requirements through a range of techniques including interviews, elaboration workshops and technical specifications.

Technical Analysis
* You identify both technical and business needs and analyse, define, communicate and validate requirements for agreed changes to our business processes, policies and technology-based solutions. You work across all stages of the requirements lifecycle, applying the agreed methodologies and techniques, whilst keeping focus on delivering outcomes and realising value. You leverage technology using lateral thinking abilities to improve and solve a range of business and technical challenges. You play a key role in the continuous improvement of our business analysis practice, improving the Great Southern Bank way of working by promoting the Great Southern Bank Delivery Model and agile delivery principles and practices through day-to-day delivery.
Communication and relationship management
* You cultivate, manage and foster professional relationships with key stakeholders and external suppliers. You support a shared understanding with other services and areas to enhance communication, strategic alignment, efficiency and solution generation through the delivery process. You scope, plan, prepare and facilitate workshops with stakeholders and partners collaborating with all levels to elicit the business and solution requirements.
Do things differently with us
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* 4 plus years of experience as a business analyst within medium to large complex organisations (Finance industry experience desirable).
* Strong demonstrated experience of the following:
* Core analytical skills, including – breaking down problems and developing effective requirements and solutions; facilitating workshops, and building relationships with key stakeholders and external partners across all levels.
* Application of Agile principles
* Benefit and option analysis to support feasibility outcomes of strategic initiatives
* Strong understanding of the software development life cycle within agile environments
* Extensive experience working on multiple project types including implementation of COTS (commercial off the shelf) solutions; delivery of technology solutions, including digital technologies.
* Advanced written and verbal communications skills
* Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills with a strong Member service focus
* Experience working with product owners developing prioritised backlogs based on value
* Previous experience in working on technical projects in performing analysis to deliver front end member/customer facing features and journeys
