We're looking for a social media guru to create great content to communicate Randwick Council's projects, services and events to our broad and diverse community. The role offers great variety, a stunning coastal beachside location and creative freedom to try new things.
Purpose
The Social Media Officer is responsible for the overall management of Randwick City Council's social media channels consistent with Council's Social Media Strategy. The role develops effective social media strategies and content to enhance Council's overall brand, customer satisfaction and to effectively engage with the local community about Council services, activities and projects.
Thing You Will Do
* Develop engaging and creative communication content specific for social media to achieve Council's objectives.
* Administer Council's Social Media Policy and provide internal training.
* Develop a Social Media Strategy.
* Develop, create and track metrics for each social channel
About You
* Creativity and the ability to produce digital content, including photography and videography for social media.
* Experience managing social media channels for medium-large government, not-for-profit or private businesses.
* Current and best practice knowledge in the ever-changing world of social media marketing
* Knowledge and the skills to deliver targeted paid advertising strategies through social channels
* Experience using analytics to report on the success of a campaign and use of programs such as Agora Pulse
* Creativity, innovation and a sense of fun
