A rare senior communications role - without the burnout
We're looking for a senior communications professional (5+ years) who loves persuasive writing, sharp interviewing and generating wins for clients without the agency politics, media hustle, and full-time grind.
This is a genuinely flexible, part-time role designed for experienced operators who want to do high-quality work while maintaining a genuine work–life balance.
Our client is a boutique strategic communications consultancy working with mid-tier service businesses across education, trades and professional services. Their work focuses on awards, tenders, thought leadership and corporate communications, helping clients position themselves as market leaders.
The role
This is a 0.6 FTE, fully remote role working closely with the founder and a small account support team. (Initially a 12-month commitment, with the potential to extend. ) You'll work from clear briefs and priorities, bringing senior judgment to execution. No business development and no drawn out media campaigns - this role exists so you can focus on crafting compelling communications that genuinely move the needle for clients.
Key responsibilities
This is not your standard content writer role.
● You'll lead and deliver exceptional written communications assets - writing high-stakes, persuasive copy including award submissions, tenders, capability statements, thought leadership, long-form articles, internal communications, and more.
● Confidently interview stakeholders at all levels to extract insight, evidence, and narrative.
● Develop and apply appropriate client tone of voice and style guides.
● Manage competing deadlines confidently across multiple client accounts.
● Work independently while collaborating proactively in a boutique environment.
About You
You're a senior communications professional with 5+ years' experience across stakeholder interviews, submissions, case studies, thought leadership, and corporate communications. Ideally you will have a PR agency background or similar experience in a fast paced, ever-moving environment, and be confident operating autonomously from day one.
You're known for your ability to:
