About the role
Seahorse Aquatic Centre in Deeragun, QLD is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Swim Teacher to join our team on a casual basis. As a Swim Teacher, you will be responsible for providing top-quality swimming instruction to students of all ages and abilities, helping them develop their water safety skills and confidence in the pool.
What you'll be doing
* Delivering structured, engaging swimming lessons to individuals and small groups
* Assessing students' progress and tailoring lesson plans to their needs
* Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment in the pool
* Providing regular feedback and encouragement to help students achieve their goals
* Monitoring and reporting on student progress, and communicating with parents as required
* Ensuring all safety and operational procedures are followed at all times
What we're looking for
* A current Swimming Australia Swim Teacher qualification or equivalent - if not qualified we can train you
* Demonstrated experience teaching swimming lessons to a range of ages and abilities
* Candidates must have appropriate work rights to work in Australia
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students
* A passion for helping people learn new skills and build confidence in the water
* A current First Aid and CPR certificate
* First Aid and CPR certification can be arranged by the company if not already obtained
* A Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
