Practice Manager – Strategic Leadership Opportunity

Location: The Poche Centre (North Sydney) & Gloucester House, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (Camperdown)
Are you a dynamic and experienced Practice Manager ready to take the lead in a thriving multidisciplinary medical practice? Sydney Melanoma and Surgical Oncology is seeking a proactive and strategic leader to oversee the full spectrum of business, operational, and clinical support functions across our two practice locations.
About the Role
As Practice Manager, you'll be at the heart of our organisation - driving strategic planning, financial performance, and operational excellence. You'll work closely with our Practice Directors to shape the future of SMSO, while ensuring our clinicians are supported and our patients receive exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead strategic and business planning initiatives to support practice growth
· Oversee financial operations including budgeting, reporting, payroll, and compliance
· Manage staff recruitment, performance, and development across both sites
· Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, including IT systems, billing, and administration
· Maintain risk management, and regulatory compliance
· Foster strong relationships with clinicians, patients, and external stakeholders
· Support clinical teams with scheduling, patient liaison, and front desk coverage as needed
What We're Looking For
· 5+ years' experience in medical practice management (specialist or allied health preferred)
· Diploma in Practice Management or equivalent
· Strong leadership, communication, and business acumen
· Proven Change Management experience and expertise
· Proven ability to manage teams, systems, and strategic initiatives
· A genuine commitment to patient care and continuous improvement
· Full-time, permanent | Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm
· Salary: $120k–$150k + superannuation guarantee (negotiable based on experience)
· Location: The Poche Centre & RPAH (Gloucester House)
· Additional Requirements: Police Check and 2 professional referees
