About the role:

The primary responsibility of this role is to enable the health and wellbeing of Lockheed Martin employees by coordinating key programs including injury management, health surveillance, drug and alcohol testing, pre-employment medical assessments, and broader health and wellness initiatives.

This position can be based in Adelaide, Melbourne. Sydney (including Nowra) or Canberra.


Other day to day tasks include:

Work with the Director – Chief Medical Officer Health Services and the Global Medical Service Team to deliver wellness activities aligned with guidelines, regulations, and ethical standards.

Partner with business leaders and external providers to ensure full legislative and company compliance for work-related medical and health requirements.

Coordinate and facilitate medical and health assessments, including pre-employment and ongoing health surveillance.

Lead the end-to-end management of workers compensation cases, liaising with healthcare providers, rehabilitation specialists, and insurers.

Manage external providers and schedules for health surveillance and drug and alcohol testing programs.

Interpret, analyse, and provide advice on medical and health-related information to support business decision-making.

Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all privacy requirements.

Lead the implementation and ongoing compliance of Drug and Alcohol Management Plans.

Identify, assess, and support actions to address psychosocial hazards in partnership with business stakeholders.

Provide professional guidance on work-related health and medical requirements.

Prepare stakeholder briefing documents, reports, and supporting documentation as needed.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across Global Medical Services, Environment Safety & Health, and the Wellbeing teams.

Assist in developing and maintaining medical and health-related procedures.

Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, company policies, safety requirements, and quality management systems.

Demonstrate company values and maintain effective, professional relationships with employees, leaders, customers, contractors, and suppliers.


About you:

You are an experienced health and wellbeing professional who brings a strong understanding of medical governance, workplace health requirements, and compliance obligations. You're confident working with medical data, providers, and legislative frameworks, and you have the judgement to advise leaders on complex or sensitive matters.

You'll thrive in an environment where you can build structure, establish processes, and shape how health and wellness activities operate across the business. You're proactive, organised, and comfortable collaborating with senior stakeholders and global teams.


Skills and experience:

Minimum 5 years' experience in a clinical, medical, or work-related health setting.

Qualified in a medical, nursing, physiotherapy, or other relevant health-related degree; other degree-level health backgrounds may be considered.

Demonstrated experience implementing practical, straightforward approaches to workplace injury and health management.

Exposure to change management initiatives aimed at improving workplace culture and awareness around injury management and wellbeing.

Strong understanding of psychosocial hazards and experience in their effective identification, assessment, and mitigation.

Proven ability to coordinate external providers in relation to work-related injury and illness.

Evidence of successful workers compensation management and strategies to support injured employees.

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, professional advice and guidance.

Special Requirements:
