**Club Demonstration Services (CDS) Australia **currently has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, agile and innovative **Event Manager **to join our team at **Perth Airport, WA.**
**About us**:
**Club Demonstration Services (CDS)** is the preferred in-house event marketing provider to **Costco. **We offer the best person-to-person marketing services in the industry, driving sales for our customers and Costco.
**The role**:
- **The Event Manager will effectively manage and lead a team of 25-35 Sales Advisors (product demonstrator's)**_ for them to be able to carry out their daily operational functions smoothly. As an Event Manager, you will also foster a fair and congenial employment environment that encourages positive employee relations and supports retention.
As an Event Manager, you will be responsible for:
- **Directing and coordinating** the warehouse activities relating to successful events/demonstrations
- **Promoting and selling **vendor products in accordance with established policies and procedures
- **Ensuring the member services are maintained at a high level**:
- **Engagement with successful product vendor events **and will also oversee, coach, orient and train the Sales Advisors.
**Job Duties**
- **Manage and lead the daily activities of** Sales Advisors (Product Demonstrators) to prepare products and interact with customers
- **Train, coach, mentor and guide employees** to ensure successful execution of events/demonstrations
- **Instruct and provide oversight** to Events/Product Demonstrations and properly execute of all events with established quality, safety and sanitation practices of warehouse operations
- **Identify and participate **in the recruitment and hiring process
- **Utilize progressive coaching and counselling **concepts according to established policies and procedures, to provide continuous feedback on performance, increase employee retention and improve employee relations
- **Interact with store management and associates **to address issues and review results
- **Set and maintain Food Safety and Sanitation Standards, **and ensure workplace safety for all associates
- **Create, establish and maintain solid upper management relationships** with the management and customers throughout buying, marketing and store operations
- **Conduct accident investigation** as per company guidelines and document findings
- **Participate in Club Store grand openings and travel as requested**
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Bachelor's Degree in business management **or **a minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory position
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in previous roles
- Ability to recruit, coach, counsel employees and take correction measures as needed
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulatory standards
- Ability to work under pressure and ability to multi-task during the event
- Inventory control, Labor Management experience is a plus
- Conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work product
- Ability to build rapport and credibility with broad base of stakeholders
- Good oral and written communication skill
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Successful Completion of food safety supervisor certificate is a plus. _This may be completed once hired._
