Remuneration: $137,104.41 - $137,104.41 per annum pro rata

Hours Per Week: 38

This vacancy is maternity leave relief for an initial period of up to 24 weeks for 38 hours per week; the hours and period of employment may change according to the maternity leave requirements. There is also the possibility of an extension at same / reduced hours.

About The Role

Lismore Base Hospital is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager to lead Ward F10 (General Surgery / Orthopaedics).

In this role, you will be responsible for the effective management and coordination of nursing and support staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care. You will provide leadership to the nursing team, foster strong collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, and oversee workplace health, safety, and the unit environment.

This position plays a key role in driving clinical leadership, supporting continuous improvement, and promoting staff engagement in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of healthcare services.

Candidates with a postgraduate qualification in leadership/management or a relevant clinical specialty are encouraged to apply.

Applicants who have commenced, or are willing to commence, a postgraduate qualification in leadership/management will also be considered, with a commitment to complete the qualification within 12 months.
