Central Coast Local Health District are seeking dedicated, self-motivated and experienced staff members interested in the position of Advanced Clinical Coder in Health Information Services (HIS). Versatile work options available - Gosford HIS / Wyong HIS / Working from Home (WFH). Part time / job share will be considered.
As an Advanced Clinical Coder and highly skilled health information qualified, you will be responsible for accurately translating clinical documentation from patient medical records into standardized diagnostic and procedural codes. These codes are used for hospital funding, activity-based funding (ABF), morbidity reporting, research, healthcare planning, and compliance with national coding standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Reviewing complex inpatient and outpatient medical records
* Assigning accurate codes using systems such as:
Systems
* ICD-10-AM
* ACHI
* ACS
