FinXL is seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to join our Federal Government client in Canberra. The successful candidate will be responsible for system administration across the SAP landscape, ensuring system performance, security, and seamless integrations. This role involves working closely with infrastructure providers, troubleshooting system issues, and providing technical support to SAP functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform day-to-day SAP BASIS administration, including system monitoring and transport management.
* Apply SAP Support Packages across the SAP system landscape.
* Work collaboratively with the Department's infrastructure provider on IT change processes.
* Diagnose and resolve system issues across SAP environments.
* Provide ongoing support to SAP functional teams.
* Manage and support integrations between SAP and external systems (Concur, eRecruit, payment portals, etc.).
* Assist with Release and Change Management, ensuring compliance with departmental policies.
* Implement SAP BASIS best practices and contribute technical expertise to SAP projects.
* Install, configure, and administer SAP systems.
* Document solutions, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing within the team.
Skills & Experience:
* Must be Australian Citizen with minimum Baseline Clearance
* Experience in supporting SAP applications within medium to large organisations.
* Experience with SAP ECC, Gateway, BW, BOBJ, S/4 HANA, and Solution Manager.
* Proven experience as a Technical Lead for large SAP projects, including Enhancement Package Upgrades.
* SAP installation, upgrades, and maintenance expertise, including add-ons and extensions.
* Experience with S/4 HANA Migration and preparation activities (highly desirable).
* Knowledge of SAP Disaster Recovery (DR) and backup/restore technologies, including DR testing.
* Strong experience integrating SAP applications with third-party systems using RESTful APIs, OData services, etc.
* Proficiency with SQL and SAP HANA databases.
* Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
* Familiarity with SAP Change and Transport Management processes (STMS, SAP Solution Manager, CALM CTM).
* Understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid integration solutions.
* Experience supporting interfaces between policy systems and SAP Finance & HR systems.
* Knowledge of SAP Single Sign-On (SSO) configuration for SAP ABAP Application Server.
* Ability to implement and test configuration changes in non-production environments.
* Understanding of SAP licensing and commercial models, with experience in procurement processes
