APAC Sales Manager – Fumigation
Location: Sydney, Australia. Full‐time, hybrid working.
Key responsibilities
* Support the region's growth plans, ensuring monthly, quarterly and annual business targets—including revenue, contribution margin, cash and forecast accuracy—are achieved.
* Own the entire sales management process: order processing, forecasting, cash management, complaint and opportunity management, competitive pricing, cost/margin analysis, sales plans, proposal preparation, negotiation, cylinder management and approvals.
* Provide updated monthly, quarterly and year‐end forecasts for the product range in the territory.
* Act as an active member of the regional and global fumigation team, communicating, sharing knowledge, writing call reports, and attending cross‐functional meetings.
* Uncover, create, progress, track and close opportunities beyond existing business.
* Support budgeting for short, mid and long term planning; build and submit monthly sales reports to the BD manager.
* Maintain sales call reports, account plans, opportunity plans and market/competitor information using Salesforce.
* Handle DSO and complaint resolution for the region.
* Periodically visit partners and customers to support development and cooperation with technical and business development teams.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and key end‐use customers at field and operational levels.
* Investigate potential markets and co‐develop a strategic growth plan with the Business Development manager.
* Support innovation projects, marketing, advertising and social media initiatives as directed by the BD manager.
* Coordinate customer visits with TS&D and Business Development.
* Handle commercial activities: forecasting, contracts, price adjustments, orders, complaints, reporting via CRM and cylinder asset management.
* Support regional fumigation registration and regulatory compliance requirements.
* Achieve or exceed budget figures for revenue, margin, EBITDA, cash and forecast accuracy.
* Develop strategic plans with the BD manager and operate in adherence to all company policies.
Territory
* Geographical responsibility includes all of APAC, with primary focus on Australia and New Zealand.
* Maintain and develop business with key partners and end‐users throughout APAC.
* Support supply chain team to improve cylinder management.
* Manage business with distributors and fumigation service providers.
Safety requirements
* Proficiency in the Fumigant Product Stewardship Program: technical and legal aspects of safe Phosphine gas use.
* Follow key safety policies: emergency response, visitor safety, housekeeping.
* Commitment to safety for self, employees and customers.
* Attend monthly safety training and any necessary specialized training.
Qualifications
* College or university degree.
* Experience in the agricultural chemicals industry preferred; experience in post‐harvest agricultural field desirable.
* Proven ability to manage customer expectations and build strong partner relationships.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience solving commercial problems; technical skills are an asset.
* Hybrid working or home‐based in Australia; travel within Australia and New Zealand, current passport for APAC travel.
* Flexible business hours to join global team calls outside standard office times.
