We are seeking a skilled and driven Contract Manager to join our team. Based in our Warners Bay office, you will be responsible for overseeing local operational teams as well as regional teams across the state. Your primary focus will be ensuring key milestones and program deliverables are met on time and to a high standard.
This role reports directly to the Managing Director and requires semi-regular travel across NSW, so flexibility and a proactive approach are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver business objectives, managing quality, operations and finance to achieve contractual KPI’s within the relevant legislation;
* End to end planning, coordination and delivery of timely and quality maintenance services across the state;
* Oversee management of the contract budget to deliver business targets;
* Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiencies, reduce costs and increase profits;
* Oversee the delivery of the maintenance services to ensure contractual timeframes and requirements are met;
* Ensure that scoped or quoted work complies with all organisational legal requirements of the contract;
* Proactively manage issues and work flow to ensure the completion of work complies with the contractual timeframe;
* Oversee and manage the sub-contractor overall performance in delivery of maintenance to meet contract requirements;
* Develop a strong relationship with the client and participate and attend contractual meetings when required;
* Ensure the management and approval of variation requests for planned work, over the agreed/approved variation benchmarks, are compliant with the operational guidelines within the contract;
* Oversee and assist in the procurement of subcontractors;
* Develop and maintain a collaborative and strong relationship with internal and external stakeholders;
* Assist with planning, implementation and improvement of internal processes and systems;
* Mentor and build team members to create a positive team culture;
* Work with senior management to ensure all financial objectives are adhered to.
Essential:
* Tertiary Qualification or Degree in Building & Construction or equivalent;
* Minimum 8+ years’ experience within either the building industry or asset maintenance industry or similar field;
* Proven experience in leading and mentoring a high performance team;
* Experience working with or within a Government department highly regarded;
* Demonstrated Change Management experience, with the ability to direct and implement key change strategies;
* Strong work and personal ethic with a focus on continuous improvement;
* Proven skills managing trades, suppliers and project budgets;
* Strong time management and organisational skills;
* Strong business/commercial acumen;
* Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability liaise with various senior stakeholders efficiently;
* Technologically proficient in the use of systems and applications such as Windows, Tablets and various databases;
* Must have current Drivers Licence;
* National Police Clearance (must be less than 12 months old or willingness to obtain one)
* White Card essential .
