About the Company
We are looking for a Security Manager for a NSW government client. This is a permanent position and is paying $153,780 - $172,232 per year + super. This role is based in Sydney across multiple offices.
About the Role
* Drive compliance with industry best practice frameworks, policies and procedures and work within cross-functional teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
* Oversee the entire security minor or major projects life cycle, from scoping through to quality assurance, including assessment and categorisation, quotation, validation and approval, scheduling, physical completion, Quality Assessment, and closure.
* Provide input and key supporting documentation on security policies, procedures, information security analysis, risk assessment, and security solution implementation.
* Monitor internal and external policy compliance and regulation compliance, continuously audit policies and controls, and advise on the implementation of security-related technology. Conduct site-based risk assessments and implement effective security controls.
* Design and execute comprehensive security plans to safeguard assets, personnel, and information, including contractor management, crisis management, and security operations.
* Lead response efforts for security incidents and emergencies, ensuring effective resolution and recovery.
* Prepare detailed reports for senior management on security incidents, audits, safety management plans, and performance metrics; manage guarding and patrol services, handle investigations and reporting, and monitor and respond to CCTV and alarms.
* Responsibilities also encompass maintaining database integrity, ensuring compliance with internal audits and policies, and providing security advisory services.
* Support events, protests, and public disturbances, including security planning, risk assessment, collaboration with authorities, crowd management, crisis management, training & briefing, and post-event review.
Skills & Experience
* Knowledge of effective security operations in a multi-platform environment.
* Appropriate tertiary qualifications or licenses in security e.g. Class 2A and 1AC license, Diploma in Security and Risk Management or related field and/or substantial professional experience.
