Key Responsibilities
This role is a key part of our team, responsible for developing and implementing drill and blast designs.
We are seeking experienced professionals to support the safe and efficient delivery of our underground mine plan. This includes monitoring daily production performance and data tracking, contributing to short-term scheduling across development, stoping, services, backfilling, and maintenance activities.
You will play a key role in supporting operational readiness for upcoming stoping activities, working closely with technical and operational teams to optimise performance and improve processes.
Some key tasks include:
* Developing and implementing drill and blast designs using Deswik or similar software
* Monitoring daily production performance and data tracking
* Contributing to short-term scheduling across development, stoping, services, backfilling, and maintenance activities
* Supporting operational readiness for upcoming stoping activities
* Working closely with technical and operational teams to optimise performance and improve processes
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A degree in Mining Engineering or strong operational experience in underground mining
* 1–5 years' experience in a underground production engineering role
* Candidates that have backfill experience will be highly regarded as we are about to bring our paste plant online
* Experience in drill and blast design (Deswik or similar software)
* Exposure to Ventsim software is a plus but not essential
* Strong working knowledge of Australian mining practices, safety, and environmental standards
* Solid problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement
* A collaborative attitude and excellent communication skills
