The Role:
Provide a high level of technical support to the dealer network and customers.
Monitor, assess and report technical trends to the Manager, Technical Support
Produce high-quality Service Bulletins and Technical Tips
Maintain the Policy and Procedure manual with specific reference to Technical Service support
Ensure service documentation is updated as
Provide in-field support for technical investigations
Produce high-quality technical reports
Administer all aspects of Special Service Campaigns/Recalls
Provide technical support for all internal staff
Prepare detailed product reports after investigation and ensure where necessary related parts are returned to the central office for further inspection and investigation
Report on training requirements for internal /external stakeholders based on technical assistance requests & submit to Manager, Technical Support
Monitor and report on technical assistance requested and phone traffic
Constantly upgrade knowledge by attending internal/external product and other training
Available to occasionally travel intrastate, interstate and overseas at short notice
Perform other related duties as required
The Person:
Firm understanding of the Automotive industry
Dealer service discipline involves technical investigation and communication
Computer literacy to an intermediate level Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to produce high-quality technical documents
The ability to liaise effectively at all levels of an organization
Sound judgment as to where to 'pitch' any explanation i.e. technical or non-technical
Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize workload
Ability to work effectively as part of a team but also able to work autonomously with mínimal supervision, when needed
