About the Position
Care Dentistry - Implant Specialist Centre located in About Smiles Chatswood is a cutting‐edge, high‐energy dental practice with eight chairs, specialising in cosmetic dentistry. Equipped with state‐of‐the‐art technology, we are dedicated to providing the best care for our patients. At this time, we are looking for an experienced Dental Assistant / Surgical Nurse to join our team and work alongside Dr. Chris Ho.
We offer a part‐time position in a supportive, dynamic, and collaborative team environment. The role includes Wednesdays off and requires availability for one Saturday per month.
You will be required to assist:
* Bone graft
* Implant placement
* Periodontist
* Know periodontal charting
Key Responsibilities
* Patient Care: Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, preparing them for procedures, and ensuring their comfort.
* Clinical Support: Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and maintain a clean and organised treatment area.
* Inventory Management: Monitor dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well‐stocked and organised.
* Patient Education: Provide patients with post‐operative care instructions and educate them about oral hygiene and preventive care.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experience.
* Compliance: Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, as well as regulatory requirements in the dental practice.

What do you need to succeed
* Prior experience as a Dental Assistant/Surgical Nurse is essential
* A Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial but not mandatory
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast‐paced environment
* Capability to address patient concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy
* Attention to detail
