Desktop Support Specialist
The primary role of a Desktop Support Specialist is to ensure that desktop computers, peripheral equipment, and software applications operate within established standards and guidelines. This involves the installation, configuration, and maintenance of these systems, as well as troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
* Install and configure desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripheral equipment.
* Maintain software applications and operating systems to optimize performance and security.
* Collaborate with OEM vendors to repair and troubleshoot hardware issues.
* Manage inventory and maintain accurate records of hardware and software assets.
* Provide VIP support by tailoring services to meet the needs of clients or internal stakeholders.
* Develop and implement procedures for efficient help desk operations.
A successful Desktop Support Specialist will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused approach. Additionally, they should be knowledgeable about Office 365 support and possess an understanding of DHCP and DNS concepts.
