Temporary part‑time Senior Occupational Therapist role delivering advanced paediatric care, clinical leadership and service improvement at Logan Hospital
About This Role
As a Senior Occupational Therapist (Paediatrics), you will deliver advanced, evidence‑based OT services to paediatric inpatients and outpatients while supporting service development, education and quality improvement. Working within a high‑performing interprofessional team, you will provide expert clinical input, supervise developing clinicians and contribute to the ongoing growth of paediatric OT services.
In This Role, You Will
* For 22.8 hours per fortnight, deliver complex paediatric OT assessment, intervention and evaluation
* Provide clinical leadership, supervision and support to HP3 staff, students and AHAs
* Act as a senior clinical resource within the OT and multidisciplinary teams
* Contribute to service development, quality improvement and research initiatives
About You
You are an experienced paediatric Occupational Therapist who combines strong clinical capability with leadership, collaboration and a commitment to service excellence.
You Will Bring
* High‑level paediatric OT clinical expertise across ward and outpatient settings
* Strong clinical judgement and ability to manage complex caseloads independently
* Experience supervising and mentoring clinicians and students
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
* Commitment to evidence‑based practice and continuous service improvement

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care. We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland. Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
