The Role
Harmony is looking for a skilled Maintenance Carpenter to join the Facilities and Maintenance team and work across several of our centres. The Maintenance Person is responsible for the overall presentation of the indoor and outdoor environments at each childcare centre delegated to their responsibility, including general upkeep, repairs, patching and painting, sanding and staining and minor project work.
The safety of the children in our care is of upmost importance so a risk assessment needs to be performed for all tasks planning to be executed during a centre visit.

About You
To be considered for this position you will have:
at least 2 years’ experience working in facilities or as a handypersonthe ability to work collaboratively and in partnership with a range of stakeholdersthe ability to undertake multiple varied tasks with a large degree of autonomya strong focus on safe work practicesNational Criminal History Record Check (Police check)a blue cardcurrent drivers’ licence and the ability to travel to different centrescurrent First Aid Certificatetrade background looked at favourably
