The Opportunity: Facilities Manager at Buttercups Childcare.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this role is responsible for and managing the upkeep and improvement of our facilities along with overseeing contractors and developing and executing group-wide procurement strategies.
In this role, you will:
* Develop, implement, and maintain a structured and comprehensive maintenance plan for all service sites.
* Establish and oversee preventive maintenance programs to support the long‐term operations of our services
* Manage capital projects as required
* Engage and oversee maintenance contractors including an internal Maintenance Coordinator
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including landlords, to support operational, reactive works and planned maintenance programs.
* Build strong vendor and supplier relationships and lead end‐to‐end procurement activities for facilities‐based goods and services
* Ensure emergency maintenance requirements are addressed promptly and effectively, including attendance at after‐hours emergencies when required.
* Prepare reports on maintenance outcomes, plans and expenditure
* Assist in maintaining an accurate and up‐to‐date register of assets
What you bring to the table:
* A qualification in Facilities Management, or a related field
* 3+ years' experience in facility management or operations within a multi‐site organisation (childcare, health, education, or services ideal)
* Skilled in project management and capital works coordination
* Excellent communicator and relationship builder
* Organised, agile and comfortable managing priorities in a dynamic, fast‐paced environment
