The Role
Club General Managers (CGMs) are responsible for the overall performance and operations of the club. They play a key role in fostering a culture of excellence, community, and high performance, working closely with our Executive Team, Regional Performance Managers, and Directors.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the club's budgets and financials, including Member Growth, EBITDA, and Retention strategies.
* Oversee a large gym with 3000+ members, including a Crèche, Retail & Apparel store, and Café.
* Ensure the high-quality maintenance and operation of facilities.
* Recruit, onboard, train, and retain staff members.
* Provide training, mentoring, and support to Department Heads, and motivate teams through weekly meetings.
* Manage staff scheduling, leave approvals, and payroll.
* Utilize internal systems like Clubware, Debit Success, and Gym Sales to meet operational standards.
* Plan and execute club events such as Open Days and Challenges.
* Conduct statistical reporting and analysis.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience managing large gyms with over 20 staff and 2000+ members.
* Proven track record in KPI-driven environments with target achievement focus.
* Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with diverse individuals.
* Growth mindset, passion for fitness and sales.
* Problem-solving skills and resilience.
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
* Customer-focused with a drive for exceptional outcomes.
* Ability to exemplify health values and motivate others.
* Proactive, reliable, and professional attitude.
* Technologically savvy and adaptable to new software systems.
* Current First Aid & CPR Certificates (or willingness to obtain).
