About the Role
Based in Rockhampton/Gladstone/Central Queensland, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining fire protection equipment such as Fire Extinguishers, Fire Hose Reels, Fire Hydrants, Eye Wash Stations, Fire Blankets, and Lay flat Fire Hoses, ensuring excellent customer service.

Requirements for Success
Proven experience in a similar role or a strong desire to up-skill, including knowledge of various brands of portable fire equipment.
Experience servicing portable and wheeled fire extinguishers & fire blankets.
Experience servicing fire hose reels & lay flat fire hoses.
Ability to manage time and resources effectively, with proactive problem-solving skills.
Compliance with service, quality, EH&S, ethics, and trade practices standards.
Ability to survey customer assets and recommend upgrades or repairs.
Skill in identifying, servicing, and repairing fire protection systems according to Australian Standards and manufacturer guidelines.
Ability to report work progress and performance accurately.
About You
Able to work a 38-hour week with RDOs.
Up-to-date industry knowledge and ability to locate relevant information.
Understanding of Australian Standards for portable extinguishers, hose reels, and lay flat fire hoses (preferred for new starters).
Technical competency and willingness to obtain Cert II in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing.
Willingness to travel overnight and participate in an on-call roster if required.
QBCC Fire Protection Portables Install and Maintain license (advantageous).
Valid Driver’s license.
Desired Attributes
Strong knowledge of AS 1851, AS 2444, AS 2441.
Experience or interest in fire protection maintenance.
Updated knowledge of portable fire equipment (advantageous).
