About this role
This role is responsible for delivering Commerce strategy & planning to clients and omni-commerce agency team. The successful candidate will operationalize best practices, develop commerce planning, and deliver client business objectives.
Key responsibilities:
* Take ownership of account-level strategy for key commerce capabilities such as Amazon, Coles, Cartology, and Criteo.
* Support existing planning team in Category planning and archetypes supported by GroupM Commerce leads.
* Support existing Agency and Nexus planning to ensure that best-practice commerce strategy and planning is applied to the various brands and products.
* Manage a team of direct reports, starting with 1 direct but multiple indirect reports.
* Contribute to upleveling account management and improve how we serve GroupM Commerce clients across agencies.
* Support agency teams (investment, search, social, programmatic, data, and analytics) to deliver comprehensive solutions that accomplish client's business objectives.
* Support the integration between commerce and brand media to develop end-to-end media plans for clients.
* Manage relationships to ensure delivery of first-to-market media solutions.
* Work with the Unilever team to support better connect trade to brand investment.
* Stay up to date on the latest trends and best practices in retail media. Develop and cascade POVs on changing industry dynamics.
* Engage with internal and external leaders across WPP agencies, technology providers, and retailers to develop go-to-market solutions.
* Assist in developing commerce and retail media content for the organization, including educational trainings, POVs, and frameworks.
* Lead the adoption of GroupM Commerce for new business and existing accounts.

3. Understanding of retail commercial elements such as profit margin, inventory levels, forecasting, and demand planning to inform media decisions.

5. Experience with retail bid management platforms, such as Pacvue or Skai.
6. Experience in campaign management and optimization across multiple retail platforms (Amazon, Criteo, Google, Meta, etc.).
7. Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.

22. Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or a related field.
23. 7+ years of experience in media strategy, planning, and/or performance across paid media, trade strategy, retail, consulting, and/or analytics.
24. Ability to execute effective media plans that achieve business objectives.
25. Experience across the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
26. Drive to learn and understand the retail landscape and the latest trends in commerce media.
27. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas.
28. Deep understanding of how different media channels work together and how retail media fits within the wider ecosystem.
29. Experience with retail bid management platforms, such as Pacvue or Skai.
30. Experience in campaign management and optimization in biddable environments.
