PHIA is home to domestic and international freight with oversize aircraft capability (Antonov-124), Australian Border Force and Biosecurity operations, refuelling, aviation firefighting, transient worker accommodation, a bulk transport precinct, Port Hedland School of the Air and the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
PHIA is working hard to deliver a revitalised regional airport which makes the Port Hedland community proud and has the ongoing capacity to service mining interests and diverse opportunities including tourism in the region whilst maintaining its safety and security standards and offering enhanced customer experiences.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Responsible for the general office duties at PHIA Management Office. Providing administrative support to an operational team of 14 across all areas; leadership, commercial, financial, communications, projects, compliance, airside and landside operations of Port Hedland International Airport.
Key duties include but not limited to:
* Administration Support
* Access Control and Visitor Management
* Procedures and Occupational Health & Safety
* Customer Service
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS (SELECTION CRITERIA)
* Well organised with the ability to multi-task; plan‑ahead, prioritise and to organise activities.
* Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
* Self‑motivation and driven to set goals and achieve them.
* Good understanding of WHS principles and processes.
* Hold and maintain a current valid Driver's Licence for the vehicle(s) used at PHIA.
* Be willing to undergo pre‑employment medical and/or drug and alcohol screening.
* Must be able to undertake and pass random drug and alcohol testing.
* Ability to obtain and retain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
