Job Overview
As Senior Shift Manager, you will lead day-to-day transport operations supporting a major supermarket retail operation, ensuring safe, compliant and high-performing outcomes across people, customers and financial results. This is a permanent, full-time role based at Kemps Creek, working a Tuesday–Saturday roster with shifts of 10am - 6pm and flexibility to cover PM shift if required. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where safety, service and efficiency are critical.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead site operations to achieve safety, service, compliance and EBIT targets
* Drive a strong safety culture aligned to Vision Zero, Stop for Safety and fatigue management requirements
* Own site financial performance including P&L, cost control, payroll and subcontractor rates
* Manage and develop Allocators, Drivers and subcontractors to ensure capability, coverage and succession
* Deliver consistent service outcomes for a supermarket retail customer through proactive communication and issue resolution
* Execute transport plans to achieve OTD targets with zero carryover while maximising asset and labour utilisation
Qualifications
* Proven leadership experience within transport, logistics or large-scale retail operations
* Demonstrated accountability for site-level financial performance and commercial decision-making
* Strong capability in leading safety performance, incident management and compliance outcomes
* Experience managing drivers, allocators and subcontractors in a high-volume supermarket environment
* Ability to execute operational plans while responding effectively to real-time disruptions
* Flexibility to work a Tuesday–Saturday roster, with flexibility to provide coverage for the PM shift as required
