About the Role
MSS Security is seeking skilled Control Room Operators to work at the Nyaal Banyule Geelong Convention & Exhibition Centre, working across a 12-hour rotating roster. This role will see you supporting one of our clients by providing an exceptional understanding of systems and procedures of the site.
Duties
* Responsible for access control, CCTV monitoring, contractor sign in, isolations, audits, incident reports, lost property and responding to email and phone enquiries.
* Monitor and respond to alarm activations.
* Ensure that all workplace incidents and hazards are reported in accordance with the companies' procedures.
* Conduct patrols and maintain a visible security presence.
* Assist in training current Operators and provide ongoing support.
* Act as the Chief Warden when required or in the absence of the Security Manager, demonstrating strong knowledge of emergency management procedures.
* Support the daily operations of the centre and MSS Security team, escalating issues when necessary.
* Perform helpdesk duties on behalf of the Facility Manager after hours.
* Act as the primary first aid responder, providing initial emergency response and carrying out warden duties.
* Ability to work in multiple control room operator roles by following strict site policies and procedures.
* Provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
* Full Australian working rights.
* Valid Victorian Security Licence with the control room subcategory.
* Valid Victorian Drivers Licence or have a reliable means of transport.
* Valid First Aid & CPR Certificates (or willing to obtain).
* 24/7 Availability to work a rotating roster.
* Fluent in English with the ability to write comprehensive reports.
* Minimum 3 years experience in a control room or demonstrated leadership roles (highly desirable).
