About The Role
* You will lead and role model professional clinical service delivery, strategic direction, advanced education, and expert clinical care and consultancy within the NSW Health Sexual Assault Service model of care, to both the service and the broader medical and forensic field.
* You will provide crisis responses, non-acute clinical care, and follow up medical care and health care navigation to victim-survivors of violence, abuse and neglect in accordance with current and emerging NSW Health VAN Services models of care.
* You will provide forensic responses for victims of sexual assault.
* You will provide service-level clinical leadership and development of the VAN clinical nursing field.
* You will lead ongoing development of the service's clinical practice, undertaking reviews and implementing learnings to drive new directions.
* You will lead the service's strategic planning including developing and implementing annual plans.
About You
* You must hold current authority to practice unrestricted as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* You must have completed the NSW Health Education Centre Against Violence Graduate Certificate in the Medical and Forensic Management of Adult Sexual Assault (or equivalent) and have completed at least three supervised medical and forensic consultations on a patient reporting recent sexual assault.
* You must have completed or be studying towards within 6 months of commencing in the role: Education Centre Against Violence training modules Forensic Photography; Supervised Medico-Legal; and Provide a Medical and Forensic Response to Domestic and Family Violence (when available), or equivalent courses.
* You must have a minimum of seven years full time equivalent post registration experience and a minimum of five years clinical nursing experience in a relevant clinical speciality (e.g. sexual health, family planning, women's health, obstetrics and gynaecology and emergency medicine).
* You must have post registration nursing qualifications relevant to the field of sexual assault, or other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the district.
* You must be able to participate in VAN on-call roster and/or extended shift work.
