Our client is a large, well-established real estate private credit manager who has experienced exceptional growth over the last few years. They are recognised in market for their disciplined and flexible underwriting approach within commercial property. Having built a platform with a great reputation and strong relationships amongst sponsors, brokers and investors, the business is looking to grow out their Melbourne team.
The Role:
In this role, you will support a Senior Credit Manager with non-coded real estate lending. The typical ticket sizes are between $1-7.5mio, with an average lend of $4.6mio and maximum exposure of $20mio. As part of your responsibilities as a Credit Analyst you will:
* Assess real estate loan applications to support credit approval decisions
* Analyse valuation, quantity survey reports and some financial statements to help identify and mitigate risks
* Write concise, 3–4 page credit papers for internal approvals
* Draft term sheets and respond to broker queries
* Present credit recommendations to senior decision-makers
* Complete core administrative tasks such as licence checks, trustee reviews and data input into bespoke database
The ideal candidate:
* 1-4 years' experience in real estate credit within a bank or non-bank
* Strong understanding of real estate terminology and lending structures
* Exposure to residential/commercial lending (favourable)
* Someone who is comfortable reviewing valuation reports and assessing risk
* You must be happy to handle both analytical and administrative responsibilities
* Someone who is hardworking, deal-driven and eager to grow in a fast-paced environment
