Our National Head Office is uniquely positioned here on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, with our team of ~70 talented individuals right across Australia in our various state offices.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced data analyst to lead data analytics at Infocus. The Head of Data and Analytics will have the following duties and responsibilities:

Evaluates and validates the accuracy and reliability of data

Works to resolve data issues and fix at source

Analyses and interprets data to produce relevant statistics to describe and infer trends and patterns, solve problems, and answer data-related queries

Applies data analytics and visualisation techniques to gain business insights

Prepares presentations and/or writes reports to communicate findings and support strategic decision-making

Implements and/or follows data management processes to ensure data is used ethically and in compliance with data governance standards and strategies

May write custom scripts and code in programming languages to conduct analytical tasks

Drives development of insightful and robust qualitative and quantitative dashboards

Manages analytics and dashboarding projects for key internal clients, including senior management

Applies a client-centric approach to deliver accessible, well-designed, and actionable insight-driven solutions

Consolidates reporting footprint and metrics reporting into unified platforms to deliver harmonized views and enable decision-making at a granular level

Qualifications and Competencies:
To be successful in this role the following is required:

Masters Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or Business with specialisation in corporate finance required

Proven experience (7+ years) in data analytics or business intelligence, with at least 3 years in a leadership role

Deep understanding of data warehousing, analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and cloud data platforms

Demonstrated experience in building and executing data strategies at scale

A general understanding of the financial services industry

Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills

Must be detail and deliverable oriented and able to follow through and manage outstanding tasks

Proactive in identifying solutions to complex data challenges
