Role Purpose
As part of the growing Customer Growth Tribe within Woolies X, you will be responsible for delivering eCom Marketing campaigns to drive new customer acquisition within our eCom Customer base. You will be joining a team in a fast paced environment where you are encouraged to innovate and push the boundaries to deliver best in class outcomes.
You’re a customer obsessed, insights driven and highly analytical marketer with strong attention to detail and knowledge of best in class media principles. You will have a strong knowledge of media strategy and optimisation, campaign communications development, digital channels and owned channels.
About the role:
1. Focussed on driving awareness and conversion of our eCommerce propositions (grocery delivery and pick up services) in addition to other eCommerce customer features and benefits
2. Working with our internal and external media and creative agencies to develop and optimise highly relevant campaigns, to achieve key business metrics for customer growth
3. Working with the Analytics, Brand and Propositions team to leverage key insights and deliver relevant messaging across key customer segments
4. Connecting customer marketing (trade and direct to customer) activity across paid media to build through the line planning
5. Track, report and measure key metrics through the funnel to deliver eCom new customer acquisition and other business KPIs
6. Manage and build stakeholders relationships including brand, media, commercial, operations, logistics and experience teams to align and optimise activity
7. End to end budget management and ROI analysis across all activities
8. Partner with the Supermarkets Brand and Marketing team to integrate eCom as a way to shop under the group brand approach, focusing on key seasonal campaigns
Who you are:
Fluent in the marketing discipline, you will be passionate about delivering customer and business outcomes through collaboration and innovation with the ability to deliver an effective omni channel experience for our customers. You lead by example, have exceptional organisational skills and enjoy partnering with stakeholders to deliver results.
You will have past experience working in eCommerce businesses, with proven experience delivering end-to-end marketing campaigns across a large complex organisation including strong experience in through the line media, particularly digital media platforms and campaign management, having worked in a media agency, or in-house specialist media team.
What you will bring to the role:
9. +7 years experience in marketing, ideally within eCommerce or services including digital and offline channels
10. Experience in building connected omnichannel media strategies across both offline and digital paid media channels, as well as leverage our extensive owned channels to build customer journeys
11. A passion for understanding the ever changing media landscape, including new social platforms, technology innovations and customer trends
12. Tertiary qualified in relevant discipline (Business/Commerce/Marketing etc.).
13. Results and customer focused marketer with strong financial and commercial acumen who leverages insights to prioritise and make decisions
14. Strong management and briefing agencies on budget to create optimal media and channel plans, including development of KPIs
15. Understanding of how to use above the line media campaigns to drive new customer acquisition
16. Experience working closely with media planning and optimisation to drive ROI based outcomes within direct media
17. Have a hands-on “roll your sleeves up and get it done” attitude who collaborates with direct team
18. Experience in identifying customer insights and behaviours and turning them into strategic approaches to grow our customer acquisition
19. A passion for collaboration and ability to manage competing priorities with the appropriate prioritisation against business objectives
20. Pragmatic and influential nature when dealing with senior internal and external stakeholders
21. Ability to navigate complex environments to deliver outcomes
22. An understanding of owned channel ecosystem and how to best leverage for results
Additional valued capabilities:
23. Experience working in an Agile work environment
24. Experience in using web analytics tools (Adobe, Google) to analyse campaign performance.
25. Experience in using paid media platforms like SEM, META and programmatic display
