As our Senior Patient Services Officer, you will be the heartbeat of our front-of-house operations.
Responsibilities
- You’ll contribute to our shared goals through:
- Team Leadership & Support : Guide, mentor, and recognise your team’s contributions while fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Build strong relationships across internal and external clinical and administrative teams, and promoting staff engagement initiatives.
- Patient Experience Champion : Ensure service excellence through responsiveness, empathy, and continuous feedback.
- Driving Change : Lead practice-wide improvement initiatives aligned with GenesisCare’s patient-first ethos.
- Billing & Payment Support : Guide patients through billing conversations with clarity and professionalism, supporting Medicare, DVA, and private health processes.
- Systems & Process Expertise : Navigate billing and software system functions with confidence, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Performance Development : Coach team members through structured feedback and growth opportunities.
More specifically, you will have:
A passion for patient care, operational excellence and be a natural leader.
You bring :
- Proven experience managing and motivating teams
- Strong background in medical administration and reception
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence in clinical systems and Microsoft Office for reporting and analysis
- Understanding of Medicare, DVA, and private health billing processes
- A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset with a drive for continuous improvement
