About the role


selectability is seeking a dedicated and organised administration officer to join our growing aged care team. As an administration officer, you will support high-quality aged care services in regional and remote areas. This role involves a variety of administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations and excellent service delivery, as well as supporting the team in delivering exceptional care to our older persons.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. receiving and responding to a high volume of phone calls
2. assisting the General Manager Aged Care and supporting our service delivery staff
3. general administrative duties
4. organising FIFO travel arrangements for staff
5. raising purchase orders
6. data collation and data entry
7. assisting facility staff with general program support


About you


To be considered for this rewarding role, you will have great interpersonal skills and the ability to take direction and work as part of a team.

To be successful, you must:

1. have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally with all levels of staff and recipients
2. possess exceptional time management skills and attention to detail
3. be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
4. problem solve and troubleshoot issues as they arise
5. be sensitive and adaptable to recipients' different personalities, cultural backgrounds, and personal circumstances
6. maintain a positive attitude

You will also need:

1. demonstrated experience in an administrative role
2. qualifications or experience working within administration, disability, aged care, mental health, and/or the NDIS (desirable)
3. a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) or the ability to obtain one
4. a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or the ability to obtain it prior
5. NDIS Worker Orientation Module "Quality, Safety & You" completion certificate or the ability to obtain it


About the offer


This is a full-time position based in Townsville.
