Job Description
Holdfast Building Surveyors is one of Tasmania's leading Private Building Surveying Firms and has established a long-standing reputation for providing reliable, effective and practical Building Surveying Services.
We work on a wide range of residential and commercial buildings throughout the State.
An opportunity exists for a graduate or licensed building surveyor-limited, to undertake a leading position within our residential team.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertaking detailed technical assessments, inspections and providing advice against the National Construction Code Volumes One and Two of the Building Code of Australia on all classes of building.
Undertaking mandatory notification stage and statutory compliance inspections on a variety of different building classes.
Providing governance duties on behalf of local government Councils.
Provide detailed communication and cooperation with industry professionals and contemporary building surveying practitioners.
About You:
Have completed formal building surveying studies (Advanced Diploma or Degree-level courses – AQF6 minimum)
Sound knowledge of the current Building Act, Regulations, and the Building Code of Australia (BCA) along with the Building Surveyors Code of Practice in Tasmania.
2-5+ years' experience is preferred, however, all applicants will be considered.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all your work.
Strong writing skills and the ability to clearly communicate with people at all levels.
Technological competencies and abilities in navigating computer and personal device-based software
A current Australian Driver's Licence.
