Base pay range

As from 15 December **** casual lecturing rates will be increased to $*****, $*****, $****** per hour
12 month casual appointment pool
We are looking to establish a pool of qualified and/or experienced people interested in employment as a

. Appointments from the pool will be made on a casual basis.
Suitable applicants will be placed in the appointment pool from which opportunities may be offered as vacancies arise until

About the role
The lecturer's primary role is to teach, facilitate learning, assess and mentor students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements. Lecturers also undertake Professional Activities and Activities Related to Delivery.
In order to maintain quality educational services, lecturers are required to keep abreast of technological and other developments in their field through professional development to provide up-to-date information and advice to the College and industry, where appropriate.
Responsibilities
Teach, facilitate learning, assess, and mentor students in accordance with curriculum requirements.
Undertake professional activities and activities related to delivery.
Engage in ongoing professional development to keep abreast of technological and other developments in the field.
Qualifications
Qualification in art or extensive experience as an artist (or equivalent).
At least 5 years of vocational or lecturing experience relevant to this position with an ability to facilitate and encourage learning.
Minimum qualification required to deliver accredited vocational education and training (VET) as defined by the Registration Standards Standards)... Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE*****, TAE*****, or TAE*****) or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS*****, TAESS*****, or TAESS*****).
Applicants who do not yet hold the minimum required VET credentials are still eligible to apply, however TAFE will require the successful candidate to be enrolled and have commenced training in an approved training and assessment credential and record satisfactory progress to enable completion within two years from commencement.
To work for the College, may be required to hold Australian or Australian equivalent qualification(s). Overseas qualification(s) may be assessed by the Overseas Qualifications Unit (OQU).
